LinkStash Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 1, 2026

LinkStash ("the App") is developed by Ergun Ugur Guner and is available for iOS and Android. This policy explains what information the App handles and the choices you have. Some features exist only on one platform and are noted below. In short: your links belong to you, we operate no servers of our own, and the App contains no advertising.

Your links and categories

Everything you save in LinkStash, including URLs, titles, notes, categories and tags, is stored locally on your device. We do not run a backend service, and your saved content is never uploaded to any server under our control.

iCloud Sync (Premium, optional, iOS only)

If you enable iCloud Sync on iOS, your links are stored in your personal iCloud account so that they remain available across your Apple devices. This data lives in Apple's iCloud under your own Apple ID, and we have no access to it. You can turn iCloud Sync off at any time in Settings. On Android there is no sync feature; your links remain only on your device.

On-device intelligence (iOS only)

On iOS, suggestions for categories, tags and summaries are generated entirely on your device using Apple's built-in machine learning frameworks. No page content leaves your device for this feature.

Usage analytics

To understand which features are used and to improve the App, we collect aggregated usage events, such as the fact that a link was saved, using Firebase Analytics and Amplitude. Crash reports are collected through Firebase Crashlytics. These events are tied to a random app identifier, not to your name or an account; the App has no accounts. The App never transmits the URLs you save or the searches you type.

Advertising attribution

We advertise LinkStash on other platforms such as Meta. To measure whether those campaigns result in installs, the App includes the Meta SDK. On iOS the App asks for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow it, your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) may be used to attribute an install to the campaign that led to it. If you decline, measurement continues through Apple's privacy preserving SKAdNetwork framework instead, which reports results only in aggregate. You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings under Privacy and Security, Tracking. On Android, campaign measurement may use your device's advertising ID, which you can reset or delete at any time in your device's Google settings. We never share the links you save, and the App itself displays no ads on either platform.

Purchases

Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status through an anonymous, app specific identifier. We never see your payment details.

What we do not do

The App requires no account or sign up. It shows no advertising. We never sell your data, and we never read or transmit the content of the pages you save.

Data retention and deletion

Your saved data lives on your device and, if you enable syncing, in your own iCloud. Deleting the App removes its local data. iCloud data can be cleared from Settings before you uninstall. Analytics events are tied to a random app identifier rather than to you personally.

Children

LinkStash is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the App evolves. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
