Privacy Policy - LinkRay (Broken Link Checker & SEO Audit)

Short version: LinkRay runs in your browser. We have no server and collect nothing.

Page access: only when you click the LinkRay icon and press Scan (Chrome's activeTab). LinkRay then reads that page's links (with their anchor text and rel attributes) and SEO tags (title, meta tags, headings, image alt text). It never runs on pages in the background.

Link checks: to test whether links work, LinkRay asks for an optional permission to contact other sites, the first time you scan. It then sends a request (usually HEAD, sometimes GET) directly from your browser to each URL found on the page you scanned, without cookies. No other requests are made. If you decline, the SEO audit still works.

Nothing is sent to us or any third party. No analytics, no tracking, no accounts, no remote code.

Stored locally (chrome.storage.local): your palette preference and a small counter used to ask for a review once (scan count and whether it was shown). Uninstalling removes it.

Exports and copying: CSV files are saved straight to your computer, and "Copy broken links" only puts text on your clipboard. Neither is sent anywhere.

Ko-fi link: the "Support LinkRay" link in the popup only opens ko-fi.com in a new tab. It is a plain external link: LinkRay sends no data to Ko-fi.

No sale or sharing of data. LinkRay does not sell, transfer or use any data for advertising or creditworthiness.
