Not a hero. Not quite a villain. Entirely his own.
Link NightWolf is a gothic dark fantasy character whose story has developed organically through more than twenty years of collaborative roleplay.
Proud, sharp-witted, stubborn, and occasionally insufferable, Link is a man of contradictions. He can be charming one moment and dangerous the next, fiercely independent yet capable of extraordinary devotion to those he loves.
His origins are anything but ordinary.
Created by Malrec from the darkness extracted from Donovan, a powerful being known as the Warden, Link was originally intended to serve a purpose that was never his own. Instead, he chose to forge an identity independent of his creator and the being from whom he came.
Although Link and Donovan refer to one another as twin brothers, their connection is far more complicated than blood. They share the same underlying facial features, but they are not biological twins.
A Vaelkin with long, pointed ears, dark hair, crimson eyes, and a distinctive gothic appearance, Link also carries a supernatural inheritance that eventually reveals itself through his wolf and lycan forms.
Yet his story is not defined solely by darkness or supernatural power.
Beneath the confidence, sarcasm, and carefully maintained exterior is a man capable of profound tenderness, awkward humor, jealousy, regret, and a love that has shaped much of his existence.
Over the years, Link has been a lover, a father, a tavern owner, a clan leader, and something far more dangerous. His choices have not always been admirable, and their consequences have often followed him long after the moment passed.
He has never claimed to be a hero.
Link NightWolf is a character shaped by the life he has lived, the people he has loved, and the choices he must continue to live with.

Every man needs somewhere to call his own.
NightWolf Tavern is a three-story gothic establishment founded by Link NightWolf and named after the surname he chose for himself.
More than a place to gather for drinks and conversation, the tavern represents something deeply personal to Link: independence, belonging, and the freedom to create a life entirely his own.
Its gothic architecture and dark interior reflect his distinctive tastes, while its welcoming spaces have served as the backdrop for friendships, complicated relationships, unexpected encounters, and moments that would change his life.
The tavern is also Link's home.
Its entire third floor is reserved for his private living quarters, protected by a magical lock. Within those rooms, surrounded by the furnishings and personal possessions he has collected over the years, Link can retreat from the demands of the world below.
Among those possessions is his writing desk and journal, where he records his thoughts, poetry, songs, and memories.
Although many people have passed through NightWolf Tavern's doors, very few have been permitted into Link's private world upstairs.
For Link, the tavern is not simply a building.
It is the first place he could truly call his own.
