LinkALocaL is platform for English language learners who want to improve their language skills but don't have many opportunties to practice LAL provides those practice opportunities by using Local native speaker to conduct small group conversations in local coffee shops.
The founder, Jody Parkins as an English as a Second Language teacher wanted to create an experience for her English students that struggle to practice thier skills even though they have studied the language for many years. She also wanted to create a space where learners could also learn about the local and national culture by discussing topics related to values, music, food and beliefs.
