Linguist Talks is an exciting new webinar series dedicated to exploring the intricate relationships between language, culture, and cognition. This initiative is proudly hosted by the École Normale Supérieure de Tunis (ENS), one of Tunisia’s most prestigious academic institutions, renowned for training future educators and scholars, particularly those preparing for the highly competitive Agrégation exam.

As the first edition of this series, Linguist Talks is designed to bring together leading scholars from around the world to share their research in an engaging and interactive format. This is more than a traditional academic conference—it is an opportunity to present research as a lesson, making complex ideas accessible and thought-provoking for a new generation of scholars.

This initiative seeks to bridge the gap between academic research and practical application by engaging with students, educators, and researchers in a dynamic, intellectually stimulating environment.

Our Audience: The Next Generation of Scholars

The audience for Linguist Talks primarily consists of students and educators at ENS and beyond, including:

• Future educators and researchers preparing for the Agrégation exam, a rigorous competitive examination required for teaching at the secondary and higher education levels.

• Undergraduate and graduate students specializing in linguistics, applied linguistics, psycholinguistics, and sociolinguistics.

• Early-career researchers and professionals in fields related to language, cognition, and education.

By participating, speakers will have the unique opportunity to influence and inspire the next generation of educators and researchers in Tunisia, equipping them with cutting-edge insights and methodologies that will shape their academic and professional futures.

❗Key Dates❗

• The Linguist Talks series will take place from April 18 to 26, 2025.

• Confirmed speakers are kindly asked to submit their talk title and a short abstract (150 words) by March 20, 2025.

• Each session will be 30 minutes long, followed by a 10-minute Q&A.

• A conference dinner will be held for in-person participants.

• No registration fees! Participation is completely free, and all fees have been waived.
