1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Qzee Game (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and handles information in connection with the LinguaKey: Voice & Translate mobile application (the “App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. Please read it carefully before use.
2. Information We Collect
The App collects only the information necessary to deliver its core translation features. Here is a precise breakdown of what is accessed and why:
A. Camera Images
The App accesses your camera to capture images for on-device text recognition and translation. Camera images are processed entirely on your device and are never stored or uploaded to our servers.
B. Voice & Audio Input
The App uses your microphone to convert spoken words into text for voice translation. Voice recordings are processed in real time only and are never stored, retained, or shared.
C. Gallery Images
On Android 12 and below, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE is used for the same purpose. On Android 10 and below, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE is used to save translated images or exported content to your device. Selected images are used only within the active translation session and are not collected, stored, or uploaded.
D. Clipboard Content
The App may read your clipboard to detect and auto-paste copied text for quick translation. Clipboard content is used only for the immediate translation request and is never stored, logged, or transmitted.
E. Network & Connectivity Information
The App checks your network connectivity status (Wi-Fi and mobile data) to optimize translation performance, determine when to use online services, and ensure ads load correctly. No personal network data or location information is collected via these permissions.
F. App Performance Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics to understand how the App is used in aggregate — for example, which features are accessed most often and how the App performs across different devices. This data is anonymized and is not linked to your identity.
G. Advertising Identifier & Device Information
We use the Android Advertising ID along with general device information such as device model and operating system version to deliver relevant ads, measure ad performance, and help our advertising partners detect and prevent fraudulent activity. This is not linked to personally identifying information.
3. Log Data
When an error occurs in the App, we may collect diagnostic information through third-party tools, referred to as Log Data. This may include your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, device name, operating system version, App configuration at the time of the error, the time and date of occurrence, and other related statistics. Log Data is used solely for debugging and improving App stability and is not linked to your identity.
4. Cookies
The App itself does not use cookies directly. However, some of our third-party advertising and analytics partners may use cookies and similar tracking technologies. You can review each partner’s practices through the privacy policy links in Section 5.
5. Third-Party SDKs Used in This App
LinguaKey uses the following third-party services to deliver ads, measure performance, and support core functionality. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy, linked below:
Note: this list reflects the SDKs currently integrated into LinguaKey. If we add other partners in the future, this section will be updated before that change takes effect.
6. Permissions Used by This App
LinguaKey requests the following Android permissions, each tied to a specific feature:
Camera — Used to capture images for on-device text recognition and camera translation. Images are never stored or uploaded.
Record Audio (Microphone) — Used for voice translation by converting spoken words into text. Voice recordings are processed in real time only and are never stored or shared.
Read Media Images (Android 13+) — Used to let you select images from your gallery for text translation. Images are not stored or uploaded.
Read External Storage (Android 12 and below) — Used to access images from your device for translation. Images are not stored or uploaded.
Write External Storage (Android 10 and below) — Used to save translated images or exported content to your device. Files are not collected or uploaded.
Internet — Used to provide online translation services, synchronize app content, and support advertising.
Network State & Wi-Fi State — Used to check internet connectivity and optimize translation and ad loading. No personal network data is collected.
Vibrate — Used to provide haptic feedback during keyboard input and other app interactions.
Flashlight — Used to turn on the device flashlight to improve visibility when translating text in low-light conditions using the camera.
Read Clipboard — Used to detect and auto-paste copied text for quick translation. Clipboard content is never stored, logged, or transmitted.
7. Service Providers
We may engage third-party companies and individuals to support delivery of the App and its features. These service providers have access to information only as necessary to perform tasks on our behalf and are not permitted to use or disclose it for any other purpose. Reasons we may engage service providers include:
Delivering and measuring advertising within the App
Analyzing App usage and performance
Providing translation engine services for online translations
Diagnosing technical issues and supporting App maintenance
8. Advertising
LinguaKey is free to use and is supported by advertising delivered through Google AdMob and its mediation partners, including Pangle, Mintegral, AppLovin, Liftoff Monetize, and Meta. You can review or adjust your ad personalization settings at any time through Google’s Ad Settings page. Ad partners may use your advertising ID and general device data to serve relevant ads, governed by their own privacy policies linked in Section 5.
9. On-Device Processing & Data Minimization
LinguaKey is designed to minimize data collection at every step. Camera images, voice recordings, gallery images, and clipboard content are all processed locally on your device and are discarded immediately after the relevant feature completes. None of this content is uploaded to our servers, shared with third parties, or retained in any form beyond the active session. Offline translation works entirely on-device using downloaded language models, with no data leaving your phone.
10. How We Protect Your Information
Camera images, voice recordings, gallery images, and clipboard content are never stored or transmitted — all are processed on-device and discarded after use.
Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized; it is not linked back to you individually.
Offline translation is processed entirely on-device using downloaded language models, with no data sent to any server.
We apply reasonable technical safeguards to protect information that passes through our systems, though no method of digital storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (GDPR):
Request access to the personal data we hold about you
Ask us to correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data where applicable
Ask us to restrict how your data is processed
Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format
Object to processing carried out under legitimate interest
If you are located in California (CCPA):
Ask us what categories of personal information we collect and why
Request the personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months
Opt out of the sale of personal information — note that we do not sell personal information
Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions
Exercise any of these rights without facing reduced service or a worse experience
To exercise any of the above rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. We will respond within 45 days of verifying your request, with a possible extension of a further 45 days for complex requests, with notice to you.
12. Children’s Privacy
LinguaKey is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children in that age group. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can investigate and remove it promptly, consistent with COPPA and other applicable laws.
13. Data Retention
Camera images, voice recordings, gallery images, and clipboard content are not retained at any point — they are processed in real time during your active session and are discarded immediately after use. Translation history and favorites are stored locally on your device only and are not uploaded to our servers. Log data collected for diagnostic purposes is kept only as long as necessary to resolve the relevant issue. Data processed by our analytics and advertising partners is retained according to each partner’s own retention policy, linked in Section 5.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the App evolves or as legal requirements change. Any updates take effect as soon as they are posted on this page. Continuing to use the App after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We recommend checking this page periodically to stay informed.
