Lingua operates a strict, zero-tolerance policy against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). We explicitly prohibit any user from creating, uploading, storing, transmitting, or soliciting content or communications that exploit, abuse, or endanger minors.
Any account identified as attempting to distribute CSAM, engage in child grooming, facilitate sex trafficking, or exploit minors will be permanently terminated immediately.
18+ Platform Restriction: Lingua is strictly designed and operated for adults aged 18 and older.
Minor Access Controls: In accordance with Google Play requirements, Lingua uses declared-age gating and Play Store platform restriction settings to block declared minors from downloading or accessing the app.
Immediate Account Termination: If an account is discovered to belong to a minor, the account will be banned instantly, and all associated profile data and media will be removed.
Lingua provides an accessible, in-app feedback and reporting mechanism so users can flag suspicious profiles, messages, or media immediately without leaving the app:
Reporting Profiles/Messages: Users can tap the "Report" flag on any user profile or chat window.
Category Selection: Users can explicitly select "Child Safety / CSAE / Illegal Content" as the reason for the report.
Triage & Action: Reports flagged for child safety bypass standard queues and go directly to our specialized moderation safety team for urgent review.
Upon obtaining actual knowledge or receiving a report of confirmed or suspected CSAM:
Content Removal: The offending media and messages will be removed from our systems immediately.
Account Termination: The user's account, hardware identifiers, and IP traces will be permanently blocked.
Mandatory Law Enforcement Reporting: In compliance with federal and international child safety laws, Lingua reports confirmed instances of CSAM directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline, as well as relevant regional law enforcement agencies.
In compliance with Google Play Developer Policies, Lingua maintains a designated representative equipped to process urgent safety notifications and law enforcement requests regarding CSAE content:
