About:
Lingling’s research interests are in corporate and behavior finance, especially executive compensation, culture, and social issues. Her work has been published in leading finance and accounting journals, including the Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Review of Finance, and Contemporary Accounting Research. She is on the editorial board of Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Finance and Journal of Multinational Financial Management

Lingling has taught a range of courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including financial management, equity investments, fixed income securities, and a Ph.D. course in corporate finance. She currently serves as a Career Readiness Faculty Fellow at UConn. Before joining the faculty at UConn in 2016, she was on the faculty at Tulane University. She has won multiple teaching awards, including the highly competitive Freeman Student Government Teaching Excellence Award and the Dean’s Excellence in Teaching Award at Tulane, and the Undergraduate Outstanding Teaching award at UConn.

Prior to pursuing an academic career, she worked as a CRM Project Manager and senior application specialist for Sony Latin America Inc. in its Miami office. She earned her Ph.D. in finance from Georgia State University, an MBA from University of Miami, and a bachelor of science in economics from Southwest Jiaotong University in China.
