Linglestown Welcomes a New Welcome Sign!
Press Release 12/24/25:
The Linglestown Area Civic Association (LACA) has added a new “Welcome to Linglestown” sign near the west end of Linglestown just North of the original Firehouse. The plans for the sign have been in development over the last several years. This west-end welcome sign was installed on December, 22, 2025. The Linglestown Church of God has provided the loan of this parcel to LACA for the purpose of hosting the village’s latest welcome sign. Landscaping around the area of the sign has been procured through Lelii Landscaping and will be completed by the Spring of 2026.
Funding for the sign was made possible through various events, such as Taste of Linglestown and the Linglestown Memorial Day Mile. These fundraising events were organized by LACA and supported through the patronage of Linglestown’s residents and visitors.
This new “Welcome to Linglestown” sign accompanies the existing welcome sign, which was originally installed during Linglestown’s 250th anniversary celebration in 2015. The first welcome sign is located at the south end of town on the corner properties of Carl’s Autobody and Willow Grove Cemetery. Both signs were created to welcome visitors as they enter the village and to provide geographical reference to the Linglestown area.

The Linglestown Area Civic Association (LACA) is a 100% volunteer organization of dedicated, local Linglestown residents who are working to promote the Linglestown community by:
Preserving its history;
Sponsoring Linglestown events;
Maintaining Linglestown's beauty;
Providing relevant information to the community;
Encouraging cooperation between organizations, businesses and the community;
Providing a conduit to discuss and act on Linglestown issues.
Anyone can join the Linglestown Area Civic Association, regardless of where you live! The only requirements for membership are a love of our Linglestown community and a heart for service.
Non-members are also encouraged to attend our meetings and events. See the "Monthly Meetings" section below for more information.

Meetings are on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm at Linglestown Historic Venue (formerly the Old Linglestown Fire House building). Use the Weir Event Rentals Office entrance.
