Hi, there, I'm Lingjuan, currently the Head of PPML Team at Sony AI and Sony Research. My team (in US, Zurich & Tokyo) is mainly focusing on the business-driven research in trustworthy and responsible AI, mainly on federated learning, responsible vision foundation model, AI privacy and security, IP protection, efficient on-device AI (training and prediction), etc. We aim to close the gap between research and real industrial applications for various Sony business units. Over the past 3 years, I have spearheaded a series of high-impact projects for collaboration between research and product teams. 

I'm also an adjunct professor at Zhejiang University. Before Sony, I was leading a federated learning team at Ant Group. I received EEE PhD from The University of Melbourne (#1 in AU). Before PhD, I graduated from Chinese Academy of Sciences, mainly focusing on secure chip design. I interned at IBM and Cadence Design Systems a decade before.
