I am an oil painter and artist-advocate dedicated to celebrating avian life. Through small-format oil paintings, I invite viewers into intimate encounters with birds.
Inspiration often starts just outside my studio window. I am deeply fascinated by birds' intricate feather construction, vibrant colors, and the fragile yet gritty way they navigate the world. For me, each painting functions as a meditation. The richness of oils allows me to honor their beauty and encourage viewers to slow down and find peace amid our chaotic contemporary landscape.
My work serves a dual purpose: seeking a connection with the natural world and highlighting the urgent need to preserve it. My commitment to conservation extends beyond the canvas through active partnerships with galleries and conservation auctions. I am proud to support organizations dedicated to protecting our environment, including the American Bird Conservancy and the Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes.
I studied Fine Arts and Art History at the University of Michigan’s Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design and Parsons School of Design. My work has been exhibited in various galleries across the Metro Detroit area, and was most recently awarded Overall Runner Up in Wild Heart Gallery's 5th Annual International Juried WINGS exhibition.
