Great news for Lindsay Lohan fans! Walt Disney Pictures JUST released an exciting photo of Lindsay Lohan with Jamie Lee Curtis on the set of Freaky Friday 2, which means filming has officially begun.

In the tweet, Disney announced that the film will be released in theaters in 2025, but the exact date has not yet been revealed.

The full cast has been unveiled, featuring the return of Chad Michael Murray and several other familiar faces from the original cast: Stephen Tobolowsky, Rosalind Chao, Lucille Soong, Haley Hudson, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Mark Harmon, and of course, Curtis and Lohan. However, there are also some fresh faces joining the ensemble. New actors and actresses in this film include Julia Butters, Manny Jacinto, and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan.

The film is written by Jordan Weiss and directed by Nisha Ganatra, who has previously directed acclaimed movies such as “The High Note,” starring Dakota Johnson and Tracee Ellis Ross, and “Late Night,” featuring Mindy Kaling and Emma Thompson.
