Complex sustainability challenges of the Anthropocene require collaborative and transdisciplinary approaches. I am committed to research that develops and applies these approaches to the fields of environmental governance, natural resource management, and urban planning to support more sustainable and just communities.
My work draws upon my training in human geography, planning, and public policy and is often conducted through multi-disciplinary teams. I organize my research in two themes: 1. Understanding and supporting collaborative environmental governance through stewardship mapping; and 2. Creating effective and inclusive natural resources management through co-production, knowledge exchange, and transdisciplinary approaches.
