Bocconi University
ABOUT
I am a third-year Accounting PhD student at Bocconi University in Milan (Italy).
I visited the Accounting department at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business (IL, USA) during the 2025-2026 academic year.
Before starting the PhD, I worked as a Manager within the Deals Advisory practice at PwC Malta. I also lectured an accounting module (Financial Accounting and Control II) to undergraduate students at the University of Malta.
I read for my Master’s in Accountancy (summa cum laude) and Bachelor of Commerce (summa cum laude) degrees at the University of Malta.
My research interests centre primarily on how regulation shapes organizational decision-making and economic outcomes. I study how regulatory interventions, including disclosure regulation, governance reforms, and sustainability-related regulation, affect the decisions of institutional investors and firms.
