Parents' Corner

A background check is required for all school volunteers.

• From the APIE website, click on the blue circle labeled volunteer.

• Choose school-based volunteer.

• You can then donate or not donate.

• At the next page, choose Barton Hills Elementary School from the drop down School-based Volunteers drop down menu.

• Select the role in which you would like to volunteer. You must complete a request for each area that you volunteer.

• Bring your driver's license by the library to complete the process.

Austin Public Library has thousands of resources available free of charge. They host events for children and adults throughout the year. There is a link the APL homepage to sign up for a free library card.
