It is important to acknowledge "COVID-19 policies are intended to mitigate, not eliminate, risk....No single action or set of actions will completely eliminate the risk of SARS-CoV-2 transmission, but implementation of several coordinated interventions can greatly reduce that risk.” (American Academy of Pediatrics)

LINDENWOLD PPE PROTOCOLS

  1. Masks must be worn at all times. The District will provide a mask to students in need of one.

  1. Extra masks will be provided in the event: a mask breaks, a mask is soiled, a mask is lost, a mask is forgotten, etc.

  1. Individuals seated at desks (teacher desks and student desks) will be separated by a minimum of 3 feet to the best of our ability. It is not possible to guarantee all desks will meet the 3 feet requirement.

  1. Student tables, small group instruction areas, or spaces where 3 feet of social distancing can not be maintained will require staff and students to wear masks as an extra precaution.

  1. Every classroom and public area has been equipped with hand sanitizer dispensers.

  1. Signage and social distancing markers will be displayed throughout the buildings.

  1. Extra furniture, “cushion-like chairs,” and rugs have all been removed from the classrooms, other than the preschool rooms.

  1. There will be regular hand washing opportunities, too. This will become a permanent routine in the class.

  1. Disinfecting supplies will be available in all classrooms for teaching and support staff to use throughout the day.

  1. In high traffic areas that would require enhanced cleaning, such as a nurse’s office or bathrooms, will be more frequently cleaned throughout the day.

  1. Air ionizers will be located in isolation rooms and select areas as needed.

COVID-19 Enhanced Cleaning Expectations:

1. Sanitize bathrooms hourly and Bathroom logs filled out when Staff returns

2. All high-contact surfaces will be disinfected regularly, including but not limited to door handles, light switches, and student desks.

3. Use of ionizing disinfecting foggers in all rooms that were occupied that day.

4. E-22 will be used as cleaning disinfectant

5. During the Covid-19 Pandemic all rooms will fall under Full Clean Expectation (including but not limited to):

a. High dust/disinfect hard surfaces/vents

b. Clean door glass

c. Dust mop/wet mop/vacuum

d. Sinks / desktops

e. Disinfect toilets & urinals-inside & out (including hardware & seats)

Hand Cleaning Resources:

1. Hand sanitizer and hand sanitizer stations will be provided in multiple locations throughout each school.

What happens if someone is ill while on-site and in a classroom?

  1. The student is immediately sent to either the nurse or isolation area, depending on the child's symptoms.

  2. Any area the student might have touched is disinfected using the classroom disinfecting supplies.

  3. The isolation area is thoroughly disinfected each evening and there is an air ionizer in the room that runs 24 hours per day. An air ionizer purifies the air in a room by electrically charging air molecules. Air ionizers use ions to remove particulates, microbes, and bacteria from the air.
