Final Forms is officailly open for tryouts for current Lindbergh students, your parents must sign you up to get started - you must have all forms signed, with a current to date sports physical uploaded into your account. Those two steps are the most important parts. If you do not have a sports physical, or it is expiring soon, please get that done before tryouts as well, because if you do not have a current physical on file at time of tryouts, you cannot tryout in any capacity. The physical tryout packet that will be emailed and made available at the end of March.
You can find the necessary forms for the sports physical & how to open a Final Forms Account using the links below.
A great way to get ready for tryouts is by stretching, doing light conditioning, working on your motions, kicks and jumps. If your are not familiar, you can try YouTube as a great resource to work on the above items.
We also take into consideration your current grades and your grades for the school year into your total tryout score, along with your attendance. So make sure you are staying on top of these things as we approach tryouts in April. You must have a minimum 2.0 GPA to tryout.
Lindbergh Cheer will be hosting open gyms every Thursday from 5:30-7:30 pm in the upper gym at Lindbergh starting March 5th. These are open to everyone interested in trying out this spring. These open gyms will be made up of stretching, light conditioning, learning material such as a band dance, motions, jumps, meeting the coaches, and an opportunity for you to see what it would be like to be on the team & what to expect for tryouts. It's also a great opportunity to ask questions to returning athletes and the coaches. Please wear workout attire, t-shirt, shorts or yoga pants/leggings, tennis shoes, hair up, no jewelry, and bring a water bottle.
I will send out an email to everyone who has expressed interest in tryouts about the parent + athlete meeting, when and where you can get a cheer tryout packet, spring cheer tryouts opening up in Final Forms to sign up under, and any other relative information.
We look forward to seeing you at tryouts!
