Cancellation

and

 Communication

Cancellations and No Shows

You may cancel your appointment without rescheduling a limited number of times (see below) with no cancellation fee up to 24 hours before your appointment. You can cancel through email or leave a voicemail (which is time-stamped).

To support consistency and continued progress, weekly clients are limited to no more than one cancelation without rescheduling within six months, and biweekly and monthly clients are limited to no more than one cancelation within three months.

Payment of the cancellation fee is expected if you cancel more often than this without rescheduling, or if rescheduling is not possible, regardless of the reason for cancelation.

The full cancellation fee will be charged if you cancel within 24 hours or do not show up for your appointment. Exceptions may be made for emergencies (i.e., death or birth in the family, an accident) or serious illnesses or injuries of yourself or someone you care for. Work, travel, childcare, and other appointment-related conflicts will not be exceptions to this policy.

These policies are necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you.

Communications outside of office hours & Therapist Availability

My general hours of operation/availability are 9AM to 6pm, Monday through Thursday.  I will attempt to return phone calls or reply to texts/emails within 24 hours.

I am not able to adequately address therapy issues outside of therapy sessions.  In the case of an unexpected crisis or urgent situation, I may be able to schedule an additional therapy session with you or move an upcoming appointment forward.

If a client demonstrates the need for frequent and/or ongoing contact in between sessions, the need for alternative services and/or a higher level of care should be considered.

Please remember that Linda Papp, LPC does NOT provide crisis/emergency services and I do not monitor my phone/text/email outside of office hours.
