RESUME

Artist Statement – Linda Lewis

My digital photomontages often blend steampunk, medieval, and post-apocalyptic aesthetics to explore themes of survival, identity, and cultural critique. Using Photoshop, I construct layered visual narratives where anachronistic characters confront modern dilemmas—consumerism, climate collapse, systemic decay—within imagined worlds that echo our own.

Whether in an abandoned warehouse reclaimed by fashion designers, a desert rail yard of feminist engineers, or urban ruins patrolled by archers, my subjects reclaim agency amid chaos. Through these layered visual stories, I invite viewers to reconsider their surroundings, question dominant narratives, and recognize the subtle power in reimagining what is possible—even from the ruins.
