Level - III/IV: 8:30 am - 9:10 am
Level II: 9:20 am - 10:00 am
Level I: 10:10 am - 10:50 am
Students still depending on the use of a flotation device will not be permitted to advance into Level III or Level IV.
Level I is designed to introduce your child to the water- teach them skills to build their confidence to swim unassisted.
Level II will lay the foundation of swimming fundamentals- streamline, freestyle, arms and kick are all main components of this level

Children are organized into age-appropriate groups according to current abilities. Skills learned in Level I and Level II are reinforced while new skills are developed.
Level IV will begin to perfect rhythmic freestyle breathing and work to build your child’s endurance. The instructor will look to introduce breaststroke kick; Diving progression

Introduction to the Water
Entering and Exiting the Water Safely ( steps, side)
Blowing Bubbles (surface and underwater)
Flutter Kicking (wall and 15 ft. distance)
Front and Back Floating assisted
Back push from side of the pool (assisted)
Roll from front to back to Front (assisted)
Bobbing and front glide “alligator” skills (assisted)
Introduction to Freestyle arms

LEVEL II SKILLS:
3-5 full-body bobs
Kicking on kickboard properly
face in front float (unassisted)
reach & retrieve objects from the bottom of the pool deck
back float (unassisted or close to)
blast off-with backstroke arms
alligator with & without kick
5-8 freestyle arms (no breathing)

Students will again learn at their own pace while in small class settings with low student to teacher ratios. Qualified instructors work to create a positive environment while helping each student achieve success on a regular basis. Students still depending on the use of a flotation device will not be permitted to advance into Level III or Level IV.
GOAL OF LEVEL III
Level III will develop skills to better your child’s freestyle & backstroke. This level will introduce to rhythmic breathing
SKILLS
Alligator (streamline) with 3-5 freestyle strokes no breathing
5-12.5 yards of freestyle (no breathing)
Introduction to rhythmic breathing (on land, on chair, with kickboard)
Kickboard breathing drill (5-7 perfect rhythmic breaths)
Blast off with 12.5 yards of backstroke
Introduction to treading water in deep & shallow
Introduction to dives

Rhythmic breathing refresher
12.5-25 yds. kickboard breathing drill
10-12 strokes of freestyle (with rhythmic breathing)

Diving progression (sitting, kneeling, standing)
Dive In- Streamline (“alligator”)- freestyle swim (Swim can be with or without breathing)
Tread water for 1-2 minutes
Introduction to breaststroke kick (on back)
