L.I.F.E.
We are a parent/caregiver led volunteer group that aims to create space for all community voices, by building connections and collaborative relationships throughout Lincoln School and beyond, to help inform and change our policies, practices, decision making, and curriculum towards educational equity and a more just community where everyone has what they need to grow and thrive.
RIGHT NOW
Culture Fest 2024 was a huge success!!
Wow! What a way to celebrate our first Culturefest! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we and the Lincoln community did!
On behalf of the Lincoln Initiative for Equity (LIFE) parent group and the Culturefest planning team, we would like to sincerely thank you and your families for sharing - with such passion - your amazing cultures with the Lincoln community - whether through an exhibit table, potluck foods, or a performance. It was really amazing to see the broad and diverse cultural heritage and traditions of our school’s community members, all in one place and at one time.
Your contributions made this inaugural event vibrant, exciting and intimate all at once. The feeling throughout the school was one of joy and discovery, learning and awe, pride and wonder. And ultimately, deeper understanding and connection among all in our community. Could you believe all the wonderful food and drink, unique cultural dress, music and song and dance, passionate performances, and incredibly well put-together exhibit tables? Please give yourselves a big round of applause!
