Career Goal Narrative

I have decided to pursue engineering, I have not decided what type of engineering but I am studying that. The thing that prompted me to move into this field was thinking about everything that was being made around me. I always thought that I wanted to be able to use my imagination and be able to make things easier for everyone and to create things that could make life easier.  I decided last year (2025) that I wanted to follow engineering. I wanted to do something with creating things and I saw engineering with design and other things.

So far I have taken most of geometry (I am still in it) and will keep doing math for a while. I have not really taken any programs other than Atex. I have learned some CADD softwares and others through some of the classes I have taken. Through all the classes I have taken I have learned how to have proper grammar and have learned many things about circles and triangles and how to find all the dimensions in them and the parts of them. I have also learned how to use a bandsaw and how to use sanders.

 I have been in the math team and on the tennis team, I have learned how to talk with people and learned how to use the skills of each person in a group to get jobs done. I have also learned how to guide people into what we need to improve on and how to make what we are doing better. The Math team helped me with my career goal  because it guided me to do math type things with a team and to work together with people to solve problems.  I have not really been employed. I have done little chores for people but no real job.

I plan to go to CSM to finish the engineering program I started doing at the tech center, then I plan to go to a different college.  I do not want to join the Military, I have more plans to do different things outside of the military to help people other than helping with fighting and materials etc. I will apply for CSM but I don't really know what after. I am attending CSM to finish the things after the tech center.  I will attend a university because I want to get all the education I can get and I want to be able to get the best jobs that are available after college.  I will probably go into an apprenticeship because I want to learn the skills of people and how to apply them to real life. I will not go right to the work force , because I want to get all the studies I can and get the best job I can get. My plans do change overtime, I plan on switching colleges after I am down with some programs. 

Whenever I am done achieving my career goal I can affect my community by making things to help people live easier lives and make things at people's requests.  I can affect society by maybe helping with houses or cars if they are electric. I will have an impact on what is created in the world depending on how large it is.  I will have a positive impact on the world, it will make a difference for the little groups of lives in communities. No engineer changes the world; they change the world as a group rather than by itself.
