What is Linc?

LINC is a teen-led, organization working to provide necessary resources to underserved communities in Union and Essex counties. We also strive to educate volunteers about the resource inequities across New Jersey.

Education

We are trying to start an open discussion about homelessness, poverty, child hunger and other systemic issues in New Jersey. Students of all ages will be introduced and/or educated about these problems through various mediums such as:

Connectivity

Starting by recruiting the young members of New Providence to volunteer for our various projects, we hope to connect the youth all around us to opportunities where they can make a difference. This will enable them to foster leadership skills, responsibility, and initiative for change within communities while also volunteer hours.

Service

By collaborating with food bank and service programs in larger, more impoverished NJ cities, we hope to serve as many people are possible. Some of these communities include:

Why Are We Different?

Obviously, the idea for a community outreach program isn’t new. Our ideas aren’t novel or revolutionary, but they are necessary. There can never be enough volunteers and never enough projects to serve the less fortunate. We are the difference. If not anything else, consider us the breath of fresh air this community needs to inspire others and make a huge impact on the lives of the underserved. It starts with us, but we won’t let it end with us.
