LIMS is led by Hyun-Lim Yang, an assistant professor of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Chungnam National University College of Medicine (CNUCM), Korea. Before joining CNUCM, he served as a (clinical) assistant professor in the Office of Hospital Information at Seoul National University Hospital, Korea. The lab is committed to both academic advancement and real-world impact, actively collaborating with diverse medical professionals. LIMS pursues publishing papers in top-tier journals and premier conferences.
We specialize in research into developing AI models tailored to healthcare and uncovering previously undiscovered knowledge in medical data. Our goal is to develop core engineering technologies that advance healthcare by revolutionizing clinical practice. Our research also encompasses regulatory science in medicine to ensure the safe application of developed AI models in human use.

"Development and internal validation of a deep learning algorithm for intraoperative arterial pressure-based stroke volume index estimation in children: a single-center retrospective study"
[2026.03] Hyun-Lim joined Chungnam National University College of Medicine as an Assistant Professor.
[2026.02] A new co-authored paper has been accepted for publication in Anaesthesia (SCIE, IF=7.5, JCR 2024 top 4.41%). "Effects of anaesthesia type on the development of persistent postoperative opioid utilisation: a Korean nationwide cohort study"
[2026.02] Hyun-Lim will serve on the organizing committee for the Korean Society of Digital Health Conference.
The LIMS conduct advanced research in Medical AI and Medical Informatics
