What is the staffing ratio?
Our adult/child ratios of 1:12 are fully compliant with Childcare Act 1991 (Early Years Services) (Registration of School Age Services) Regulations 2018. We will ensure that the school age children attending the service will always be appropriately supervised.
Do you accept the National Childcare Scheme subsidy?
Yes, all services are registered for the National Childcare Scheme subsidy and the subsidy is available to all families in Ireland, to help with their childcare costs. There are two types of subsidies available.
1) A universal subsidy- which is not means tested and provides €2.14 per hour from September '24.
2) An income-assessed subsidy- which is means tested and will be calculated based on a family’s individual circumstances.
A valid CHICK number must be provided.
Do fees still apply when my child is absent due to sickness?
If your child does not attend the service due to illness or personal holidays, normal fees still apply.
Do my child/children's days of attendance need to be the same each week?
Yes, ideally, all children need to be booked in for the same mornings/afternoons each week in order to organise staff. Any proposed changes to days which children will attend must be requested 7 days in advance to the service manager and if we can accommodate we will.
How do I pay for the service?
Parents will receive an invoice of fees due for the month, at the beginning of the current calendar month. All payments should be made monthly via electronic transfer.
Would my child have access to an AIM support worker in the service?
AIM supports are provided through the ECCE programme. Unfortunately, AIM is based on the needs of the child in the context of the pre-school setting only and does not apply to children of school age, in school age services.
Will time be allocated for homework be completed in after school club?
All children will be supervised during the completion of written homework. Children will be encouraged to read their school reading materials, however reading homework will not be supervised. Parents are requested to review and sign all homework in school diaries.
