Current Research
Project 1:
Sensitivity analysis of CO2 storage efficiency factors in the Arbuckle Group, Oklahoma.
Our goal is to develop an integrated subsurface characterization and reservoir modeling framework to evaluate the CO₂ storage potential of Paleozoic strata in Oklahoma, with a particular focus on the Arbuckle Group.
I seek to quantify storage efficiency factors by testing a range of depositional and diagenetic scenarios, porosity–permeability relationships, and pressure conditions. These results are used to generate CO₂ storage resource estimates and to evaluate site-specific storage feasibility.
Project 2:
Geothermal resource assessment in the Arkoma Basin, Oklahoma
Project 3
Reservoir characterization of unconventional Pennsylvanian shales, western Anadarko Basin, Oklahoma
Previous Research
Sequence Stratigraphic Analysis and Reservoir Characterization of the Kamta Structure, Foredeep of the Bengal Basin (2020–2022)
This project focused on establishing a detailed stratigraphic and reservoir framework for the Surma Group within the Kamta Gas Field, Bengal Basin.
Chronostratigraphic Framework: Developed a chronostratigraphic framework for the Surma Group to improve correlation across the field.
Paleo-Depositional Evolution: Interpreted the depositional environments and reconstructed the stratigraphic evolution of the Surma Group.
Reservoir Heterogeneity: Identified internal heterogeneity in reservoir sand bodies using integrated geophysical and geological datasets.
Hydrocarbon Prospectivity: Determined hydrocarbon potential and delineated gas-bearing zones, highlighting new opportunities for exploration and development.
This work provided an integrated sequence stratigraphic and reservoir characterization model for the Kamta structure, contributing to a better understanding of gas prospectivity in the foredeep region of the Bengal Basin.
