# Privacy Policy — Velvet List

Velvet List is a gentle, fully offline mood journal that lets you record how you feel, tag feelings and activities, add a private note, and look back at your trends over time.
## The short version
Velvet List does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. Everything you write stays on your device.
## Information we collect
None. We have no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. The app never sends your data anywhere.
## Data stored on your device
Everything you create lives only in the app's private storage on your device:
- **Journal entries** — your mood rating, the feelings and activities you tag, the date and time of each entry, and any free-text note you write. Stored in a local SQLite database.
- **Profile and settings** — your display name and app preferences (such as theme or onboarding state). Stored in local key-value preferences.
This data is never uploaded, backed up to us, or transmitted off your device by the app.
## Permissions
The released app requests **no runtime permissions** — no camera, location, microphone, contacts, photos, or storage permissions. (Debug and development builds include the standard Android `INTERNET` permission that Flutter adds for hot-reload tooling; it is not present in the release build and the app makes no network requests in any build.)
## Network use
Velvet List is fully offline. It does not connect to the internet, contact any server, or use any web content.
## Third-party services
No third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs are integrated.
The only third-party capability is the operating system's native **share sheet** (via the `share_plus` plugin), used when you tap "Share" on your profile. This shares only a short fixed promotional message that you choose to send — it never includes your journal entries or any personal data. Whatever you share is handled by the app you pick (Messages, Mail, etc.) under that app's own privacy policy.
## Children's privacy
Velvet List collects no personal information from anyone, including children. Because nothing is collected or transmitted, the app poses no data-privacy risk to children under COPPA or GDPR-K.
## Your rights and control over your data
You are always in full control. You can edit or delete any journal entry at any time from within the app. Because all data is stored locally, **uninstalling Velvet List permanently removes all of your entries, profile, and settings from your device.** We hold no copy of your data and cannot access or recover it.
## Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will carry an updated "Last updated" date at the top.
