I am a busy mom, full time educator and devoted wife and daughter. I've had little time to figure out what brings me joy outside of my children's activities and work obligations. I began practicing yoga and meditation when my family moved to Woodstock, 10 years ago. It started as an infrequent luxury when I had "time" to take care of myself. As my children have gotten older, and with a big health wake-up call; I had to devote time, energy and imagination to my own wellbeing.
I started practicing yoga more frequently on-line, as I was self-conscious about my body and abilities. But as I've learned the asanas, pranayama and meditation practices. I began attending local yoga studios and meditation centers and saw a direct effect of the calming strategies on my body and mind. Being a life long learner, I wanted to gain higher insights on yoga and mindfulness, which led me to taking classes through My Vinyasa Practice.
Being an educator, I want to share the benefits of yoga and mindfulness with others. I have the added pleasure of living in a picturesque landscape with ample room to hold classes and events within the beauty of nature. I've enjoyed my practice within studios, but I have found a deeper connection when I practice yoga and meditation outside, in nature, sensing the earths vibrations surrounding me.
Lily Pond Yoga will give you the opportunity to connect with nature and yourself in a safe, calm and verdant environment.
