Mid-pandemic 2020, I returned to my hometown Beijing to officially start a non-profit art program for the children I used to teach. I wanted to share my privileged art education with young students so they could use art as a medium to explore themselves as well as the wider world.
Mid-pandemic 2020, I returned to my hometown Beijing to officially start a non-profit art program for the children I used to teach. I wanted to share my privileged art education with young students so they could use art as a medium to explore themselves as well as the wider world.
My team and I lead various online and in-person art classes. We rotated between three class themes: self-identity, culture preservation, and art history.

In my course Leadership for Educational Equity, we made an action plan for our final project to apply our knowledge back to our community. I used this opportunity to expand and reorganize my goals for Your Art, striving (as always!) to bring the best quality education to my students.
