12/30/2021 - Thoughts on Danto's Modernism

After reading another good chapter of Danto, I realized Modernism is just turning the substance of art into the subject— making art the subject of art! So that technically solves my anxieties about not being able to find a subject to paint if my main interest is already art. I mean— a huge group of artist already decided to make art the subject of their art. And they’re quite successful. So maybe, I can do it too!
