When you start college you are finally let free from the main core classes and are given classes that fit your major. This it allows the departments to make your first semester classes extremely hard and sometimes not even manageable. Through different types of compositions, I wanted to talk about the struggles with weed-out classes and how to keep on going. Also when I was doing research I found a study about Stem-majors and about 45% switched their major and 35% of it was due to weed out classes. Another problem with Weed-out classes is they make it difficult for people with learning disabilities. If you are already struggling with learning, these classes can make it 10 times harder and you are more likely to give up.
