Standard Three

Assessment within a quality CTE program is comprehensive, varied, and aligned with both academic and technical standards. It incorporates formative and summative approaches, including performance-based assessments that require students to demonstrate their applied skills in real-world contexts. All assessments are valid, reliable, and standardized where appropriate, and they provide meaningful data on student attainment of technical, academic, and employability outcomes. Importantly, these assessments also prepare students for industry-recognized credentialing exams.
