History

They're supposed to be living peacefully. (key word here: supposed to be.) However, a couple thousand years ago, the No-Faces decided to try and live with and around humans, but they(the humans) were absolutely terrified. I would be too, not gonna lie, but anyhow, the No-Faces didn't take this very well and decided that humans were "ugly" (because "how can you see the ground with your eyes up so high? ugh") and laughed at them (because also No-Face beauty standards which you can find under the sub-races section.)

The humans obviously took offense at this (because who wouldn't?) and they picked up their words (yes, in this world you can literally throw words lol. Have fun with that) and threw them directly in the face(?)...head(?)...ya know, where the brain is contained at the top of the body...of the current No-Face leader ('cause go big or go home I guess).

Of course, the No-Faces took their superiority complex (someone picking a fight with us? adorable<3) and attempted to go about life, but the actions stated above pissed off a fair amount of them who took up arms (or words, I guess) and they set up a committee meeting in shared territory, expecting for everyone to agree with them. They proposed waging war with the invading species (seeing as how humans were legitimately not even supposed to be there, I mean they have their own solar system for pete's sake! What more could they want?) but all the other sub-races were basically like "are you dense? hell to the nah. leave them alone. they'll get bored eventually." and that was that. The No-Faces stewed about this for a couple of centuries before getting distracted with something else.

The Leafians tried to help the disagreement with humans at one point (I dunno exactly when, this piece of history is not well recorded, and some of it is recorded in versions of languages that have been lost to time, but I digress) by sending a Leafian kid to go meet up with some human children. It was honestly going great until the Leafian tried to copy the humans by clapping and broke thier noses (although depending on where you read reports of this, what actually happened was they tried to eat human food and it tasted bad enough to make them be sick but either way) and it was a mess-all the kids were crying, the parents were frantic, trying to calm everyone down, and the organizer of the event was freaking out over how bad it went. Needless to say, it didn't go well and it was never tried again.

...by the Leafians. The Humananoidians (damn that's a long word) tried to talk with the humans, seeing as how they already had something in common: They were hated by the No-Faces. So, quick background, what the No-Faces say goes, and they've always hated the Humananoidians, seeing as how they looked most like humans, and therefore ugliest in their(the No-Faces) eyes. Always. So because of that, the Humananoidians were really friendly in reaching out to the humans, and already felt a bit close. Long story short, they insulted their tv shows and the humans got mad and sent them away.

Now, Humananoidians had been alone ever since The Great Interaction stopped being a thing, so everyone (in the Humananoidian sub-race, of course) was rather upset about this, and it hasn't been forgotten, even thousands of years later. The Great Interaction was an event that would happen every year where all the sub-races would get together (usually around the center of the shared territory) and spend some time just having fun! It was a really nice and wholesome event, honestly. However, one year the No-Faces got upset about something so they left and just stopped coming altogether. Everyone else was like "okay then" and kept having fun and the No-Faces got mad about this ("oh heck no, they CANNOT have a party without us") and shut the entire event down forever, enacting laws and stuff to keep it that way.

Something else not well recorded (because it was not important in the grand scheme of things) was that a war was almost started between the Gravitans and the No-Faces because a Gravitan pulled a prank on the leader of the No-Faces. (It was funny though so...)

More of the history will be released later, but that's about all you need to know for now! Also, the way the world works is that the rectangle that is the map wraps around the world and the rest(the top and bottom of the planet) is a kind of ice mixed with the land in shared territory, making it nearly uninhabitable (and also it's illegal to live there, 'cause of laws made by the No-Faces)

Sub-Races

Quick Note! Please don't make any characters in this species or in this world. I'm trying to develop a story.

No-Faces

Status: Most Powerful

Appearance: No nose, mouth about where the bottom of the nose would be, eyes on their feet, gills that they can hear out of where their ears would be, normal hair that grows in very short (but it's seen as ugly to grow out your hair at all(but it's usually left alone until the age of 5))

?: Usually snobby, but elegant. They used to be called "No-Eyes", but the humans called them "No-Faces" and they found it charming. They look down on everyone. They have a tendency to get angry fast. They see noses as ugly, as well as eyes on the top half of the body.

Leafians

Status: 2nd most powerful, just under No-Faces

Appearance: One eyed with their eye being in the center of the face, noses of palms of hands, ears are leaves (that hear in sound quality better than whatever is the best sound quality you can think of), long horns, mouth on stomach, hair is weird (bangs that stop near the top of the head, hair fades into head, back hair is ears of human world animal but different and non functional)

?: Usually pretty laid back/chill. They tend to experience any emotion in an amplified way.

Gravitans

Status: 3rd most powerful, same as Harmonions

Appearance: All are a type of green, eyes where human ears are, mouth where human nose is, another mouth on neck, empty space where joints should be (elbows, knees, ankles, part of neck, where legs connect to torso), no nose, gravitational pull to objects

?: They tend to have major mood swings and also crippling fears. Tend to be fun loving and also mischievous. They stay out of the way mostly. They can't control their gravitational pull until they're seven or eight, so children are kept within the house. (wouldn't want the kids having their heads in the clouds)

Harmonions

Status: 3rd most powerful, same as Gravitans

Appearance: Hands and feet taper off into glowing flowy lines. eyes on knees, eyelashes taper off into glowing flowy lines, ears on elbows, nose on neck, shimmery face, mouth in the center of the face.

?: Very artsy, very expressive usually. Seen as beautiful by most. Creates "better" art than humans. Tend to be very passionate.

Hunananoidians

Status: Least powerful, enemies with No-Face, lonely

Appearance: looks close to humans, bald, nose on top of head, eyes where mouth should be, mouth where eyes should be, interesting ears, grey desaturated skin in human skin tones

?: Looking from the outside in, they look rude, disrespectful, mean. and immature, when they're really the opposite. They're just really looked down upon and some were like "if their gonna treat you like a monster anyhow, you might as well become one" and they're isolated so eventually they just all acted like this. They tend not to be overly emotional.
