Principal Investigator
Prof. Christian Heide
Christian joined UCF in January 2025 as an Assistant Professor with a joint appointment in the Department of Physics and CREOL, the College of Optics and Photonics. Before joining UCF, he was a Postdoc at Stanford University and a visiting researc her at MIT.
At UCF, Christian leads the Ultrafast Quantum Control Group, which investigates light–matter interactions on femtosecond and attosecond timescales. His research focuses on lightwave electronics, strong-field and quantum-material dynamics, and the development of field-resolved spectroscopic techniques for controlling and probing electronic motion in solids.
