LIGHTSUM officially debuted on June 10, 2021 @ 6 pm KST with a digital Single, VANILLA. The music video finally started with Yujeong's sweet vocal. VANILLA is such a catchy and exciting song. The song enabled LIGHTSUM members to showcase each other's sweet, melodic and powerful vocals, sassy rap verses and the hardcore routines. I love Sangah's rap style and how she nailed those dance moves. I'm also super excited to see more of her and I'm anticipating how she will spit fire the next time. And oh, are they hinting for "Main Rapper" Sangah here? I initially thought Jian would be the main rapper as she was with Main Vocalists line during the character film. But, hearing Sangah rap and the line because of line distribution, I'm leaning more to Sangah as the main. Chowon, I'm having a hard time putting my thoughts in words but, girl she really slayed the concept. I was originally worried for her to be in such concept but wow! It worked just fine. The high notes, the dance choreo, (hopefully rap, too) woah she really aced all of those. Nayoung's lovely voice is something I didn't know I would come to love as well. She definitely deserves that "Main Vocal" position with Chowon. Hina-chan, I would love to hear from her more. She, too has such a lovely voice. Juhyeon, the group's leader and main dancer. She has also showcased her vocal and it opens to a lot of potential. Yujeong, as mentioned has such a sweet vocal. She shares sub-vocal position with Hina and Huiyeon. Though I believe, that position is just for formality and that if given a chance, they could later lead vocals, no, even main vocals as CUBE artists subvocals are also main vocal materials when given chance. Personally, I love Huiyeon's parts the most those "oh my gosh" and "sugar high" lines woah! such a cutie. Lastly, the group's maknae, Jian. She relaxingly rapped alongside Sangah. I wonder how she would later be dropping bars as she is also known to write her own raps. I am highly expecting that to come
