For the vocal/singing audition we ask that you please select one song from this list. You are to memorize and prepare a 1:00-1:30 minute long portion of the song. If you are planning on auditioning specifically for Percy, Grover, or Annabeth please select a song that is specifically for those characters. If you are interested in a supporting role, featured ensemble, and/or ensemble please select a song that is for your vocal part.
If you are unsure of your vocal part, choose a song from the list that you think sounds the best! Don't worry, all who audition will also do a brief vocal range testing to be assigned vocal parts for this production.
If you are auditioning for one of the leads (Percy, Annabeth, Grover) and the song is out of your range, feel free to take the song up/down an octave as needed. Even if you are auditioning with one of the lead's songs, you will not be restricted to only a lead role or bust. The inverse is also true. Your entire auditions' performance will be taken into consideration to best fill out our cast in the strongest manner it can be.
Do not "imitate" the song, learn it! We would like to see you sing it not the "character" that is assigned to it.
