About Us

Lighthouse Church of God is a dynamic, Christ-centered church located in the beautiful town of Traverse City, MI. Our desire is to see our community and the surrounding areas transformed by the love of Jesus! At the Lighthouse, we have made a vision statement that embodies our personal and powerful relationship with Christ, and shares our passion for the transformation of our community:

SEEK, SERVE, and SHINE

First, we wish to SEEK the presence of God. At our church, nothing is more important, nor shapes who we are as individuals more than being in the presence of God. We are a church that strives to be a place where God can move freely and lives can be changed. We have open hearts full of expectation, knowing that God will meet us here!

Next, we will SERVE others. We recognize that our gifts, talents, abilities and blessings are not just for us, but for someone else. At our church, we make a point of not being inwardly focused on our own needs, but outwardly focused on the needs of our community and of each other. Serving is not what we do, it’s who we are!

Last, our goal is to SHINE the light of Jesus to Traverse City, to northern Michigan and beyond. There is no more lofty goal than this: to in word and in deed, proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to a dark and troubled world.
