I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Physics at Syracuse University, working with Prof. Jennifer M. Schwarz. I received my Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, where I worked with Prof. Rajarshi Chakrabarti on the dynamics and collective behavior of active particles and polymers in complex environments.
My research combines physics-based modeling and simulations to study a diverse set of soft and living matter systems and biophysical problems across multiple scales. I am particularly interested in modeling nuclear and cellular architecture, chromatin organization under mechanical cues, the physics of biomolecular condensates and liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS), and integrating physical learning principles to understand genome regulation and mechanical memory in cells.
