Interested in joining Lift the Spirit Cville? You are welcome!
We do NOT require auditions, previous experience, or the ability to read music. We do require:
You miss no more than three rehearsals in a season (see below).
You pay dues as you are able to support the work of our facilitators (see below).
You stay home if you are sick.
You supports your singing partners' intentions for the season, intentions like: "community," "love," "joy," "creativity," and "connection!"
Our Next Season: April-June 2026
Rehearals are every Tuesday from 7:00 - 8:30 pm at Park Street Christian Church (1200 Park Street, Charlottesville). Doors open at 6:45 pm for socializing. We start on time.
Key Dates:
Tuesday April 21: Open rehearsal. Come check us out or visit with old friends, even if you can't join for the whole season.
Tuesday April 28: Rehearsals are now closed to the public and open only to members.
Tuesday June 9: Benefit performance of the season open to the public.
FAQ:
What if I need to miss a rehearsal?
Let us know. If you need to miss more than three rehearsals, please consider waiting until another season when you're able to more consistently hold the space with your singing partners.
How much are dues for the season?
They're $85 per person, per season to support the work of the facilitators and give back to our rehearsal space.
What if dues aren't "do-able" for me?
Please sing with us anyway! We have scholarships and sliding scales available. We do not want funds to be the reason that anyone is unable to sing with us. Just reach out to liftthespiritcville@gmail.com to let us know.
