Lift Our Community is a nonprofit founded by Julia Kipp and friends. The purpose of the organization is to build a world where all women are cared for. Women face special physiological needs and challenges, and some are having trouble affording period materials. Our organization supports women in housing insecure and poverty situations by providing menstrual materials.
Founder and Executive Director: Julia Kipp
Julia is a high school student dedicated to women's health and care. She has research experience in reproductive biology and presented her work as first author at the Upper Midwest Summit for Reproductive Science. Julia was also a co-founder of Protect Our Community Group, which provided personal protective equipment to health care workers and senior citizens from 2020-2023. She and her fellow co-founders raised over $10,000 and received multiple awards for that work. As the founder of Lift Our Community, she has led a successful fundraiser for a menstrual care project and organized many donation events.
Executive Team Member: Haoxuan Hu
Haoxuan is a high school student dedicated to community service. He has volunteered at food pantries and is also a volunteer art tutor. He held a personal art exhibition in 2017 and his art has been published in newspapers.
