This Privacy Policy explains how LifeWeaver (“LifeWeaver”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (the “Services”). By using LifeWeaver, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Account Information: First name, last name, email address, password (stored securely using industry-standard hashing and salting; we never store plain-text passwords).
User-Generated Content: Text entries, images, audio recordings (e.g., Daily Drop), files you upload, and prompts for story generation.
Support & Feedback: Messages and attachments you send to our support team.
If you choose to connect external sources, we may process the following, solely for the features you enable:
Calendar (Read-only): Events, descriptions, times, attendees.
Scope used: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly
Gmail (Read-only): Message metadata and content you select for story generation.
Scope used: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly
Gallery (Photos/Videos): Selected images/videos & metadata for memories integration.
SMS (Android only): Selected message content, sender/receiver, timestamps (for story creation).
Voice Notes: Audio you record in-app.
Device & Connection: Device type and OS.
We use information to:
Provide the Services: Generate your daily journal (“Daily Thread”), integrate connected data (events, media, messages), and deliver related features.
AI Processing (service-bound): Analyze your inputs and connected data to identify key moments, generate stories, and suggest edits or regenerations.
AI processing is solely to provide the Services you requested and is not used to train unrelated models.
Improve & Secure the Services: Enhance performance/reliability, monitor for abuse, prevent fraud, and maintain security.
Support: Respond to requests, fix issues, and provide help.
Legal Compliance: Fulfil legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements:
We request read-only scopes needed for the features you choose.
We do not use Gmail/Calendar data for advertising or marketing.
We do not allow human access to Gmail/Calendar data except with your consent, for security, to resolve abuse, or as required by law.
You may revoke access anytime via your Google Account → Security → Third-party access or by disconnecting within LifeWeaver.
If you delete your LifeWeaver account, Gmail/Calendar data we store is permanently deleted from our servers.
We ask for permissions only when needed for a feature:
SMS (Android only): Read selected messages for story creation.
Photos/Media/Files: Access selected images/videos you choose to include.
Microphone: Record voice notes.
Calendar (Read-only): Retrieve events for memories.
Gmail (Read-only): Retrieve selected email content for stories.
Network: Internet access to sync content and generate stories.
All permissions are optional, but required for their associated features.
We share data only with:
Service Providers: Cloud hosting, storage, analytics, crash reporting, and AI processing vendors under strict confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
Legal: When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users or the Service.
No advertisers: We do not share personal data with advertisers.
Third-party redirects: Some features may open a secure web portal to connect with third-party services (e.g., WhatsApp). Any data handled there is governed by that third party’s privacy policy. The mobile app does not directly collect or store data from such services unless and until you explicitly connect them within LifeWeaver.
We implement safeguards designed to protect your information:
Encryption in transit: TLS (HTTPS) for data transfer.
Password protection: Secure hashing + salting for stored credentials.
Access controls: Scoped, time-limited access tokens; role-based access on our side.
Monitoring: Detection and prevention measures against unauthorised access and misuse.
Account & Content: Retained while your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. You can delete entries or your account at any time; upon account deletion, associated personal data is deleted from our active systems within a reasonable period (subject to legal retention requirements).
Connected Sources: We stop syncing immediately upon disconnection; stored data from that source is removed per our deletion processes.
You may request deletion at any time via in-app settings or by contacting support.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
Access the data we hold about you.
Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”).
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (e.g., connected sources).
You can also:
Disconnect any connected data source at any time.
Revoke Google permissions from your Google Account’s security settings.
LifeWeaver is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us to request deletion.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will:
Post the updated policy on our website, and
Update the Effective Date above.
Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
