Lifestyle – Calorie Tracker ("the app", "we") is developed by Gaj Čermelj. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and how you can delete it.

1. Data we collect

When you create an account and use the app, we collect:

• Account info: your name and email address (sign-in via Firebase Authentication).

• Profile & health data: weight, height, age, gender, activity level, and weight history.

• Nutrition data: the meals and foods you log (calories and macronutrients).

• Photos: optional meal photos and profile picture you choose to add.

• App diagnostics & usage: basic analytics and crash data via Google Firebase.

2. How we use your data

Your data is used only to provide the app's features: tracking your nutrition and weight, calculating your goals, syncing across your devices, and AI meal suggestions. We do not sell your data.

3. AI features

When you use the AI Chef, your question and relevant context (your goals and recent meals) is sent to Google's Gemini model (via Firebase AI Logic) to generate a response.

4. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase (Firestore), linked to your account, and encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Each user can access only their own data.

5. Third-party services

• Google Firebase — Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, Cloud Messaging, AI Logic.

• Pexels — food images shown in the app.

• Open Food Facts — product info when you scan a barcode.

6. Data deletion & retention

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time in the app: Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, meals, weight history and saved meals from our servers and deletes your account. Data is retained only while your account exists.

7. How to delete your account

1. Open the app and sign in.

2. Go to Settings.

3. Tap "Delete account".

4. Confirm with your password.

This permanently deletes your account and all your data. No data is kept.

8. Children

The app is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.
