Life's Door - Coping with Illness and Loss Ltd., located at Hashaked 7, Caesarea (the "Company", "we" or "us") respects your right to privacy. We want to enable you to make informed decisions about the use of your information.
The purpose of the privacy policy is to explain our practices in relation to the information collected through the services that we provide through our mobile application, Hopetimize (the "Services" and the "Solution", respectively) and how we collect, use, transfer and protect the information received from our users. "You" or "Your" means a person who is a user of the Services ("User"). If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not click "Log In" or "Sign up" and do not use the Solution.
Please also review our Terms of Use (the "Terms"). Terms capitalized but not defined herein have the meaning given to them in the Terms.
Information We Collect
As used in this privacy policy, "Personal Information" means information that can be directly associated with a specific person or entity such as one's name, ethnicity, religion, health status and other health and healthcare-related information, IP address, email address, and phone number.
Registration data: When you register for and use the Services, we collect the following Personal Information about you: registration data, including your name, IP address, email address, and phone number.
Additional Personal Information: In addition to the registration data, you may choose to provide us with additional information during your use of the Solution, though you are not required to do so in order to use the Solution. Such additional information is provided by answering questions to help you set your goals and achieve them. You may choose to provide us with access to contacts from your contact list in order to help you overcome obstacles and reach your goals, or images stored within your mobile device that may serve as reminders of goals you have set. We emphasize that you are not obligated to provide us with access to your contacts or images stored in your mobile device in order to use our Solution. You may also choose to provide us with certain medical information related to your goals, including goals you may have with respect to your personal health. Though you may use the Solution without providing these types of Personal Information, by choosing to provide it you will enable us to offer you additional features and a more personalized experience within the Solution, including tools that we hope will further your hope enhancement journey and well-being goals.
You may choose to grant us access to information about others that is available in your contact list. In such case, we receive the following information about such individuals: first name, last name, phone number and email address. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs, including the data we receive if you choose to make your contact list available to us, will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
There is no legal obligation for you to provide us with your information, and the provision of the information depends on your will and consent. However, if you do not agree to provide the information, in whole or in part, certain aspects of the Services may not be available to you.
Information that is collected automatically: Certain information may be automatically collected by us about your computer, browser, operating system, IP address and/or mobile device, as well as your location.
How We Protect Your Information
We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the Personal Information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
How We Use Information
We use the Personal Information that you provide as part of the registration process in order to provide you with the Solution. Our Solution involves setting goals with respect to your well-being, and if you choose to provide us with health information then we will use this information only to provide you with tools to enable you to meet your personal goals.
We will use the Personal Information you have shared with us for the purpose of offering you practical steps to achieve your goals, as well as to gauge the effectiveness of our tools and improve the quality of our Services accordingly.
If you choose to provide us with access to contact(s) from your contact list or images saved on your mobile device, they will be used internally in the Solution in the creation of your "hope map" in order to help you further your selected meaningful goal.
We will not share your Personal Information with third parties without your explicit permission, except when required by law, regulation, subpoena or court order or as otherwise expressly set forth herein. We may use Personal Information and other information internally – for example, to diagnose problems with our servers or to make our services more useful or tailored to your needs.
The following persons have authorized access to Personal Information: certain Company personnel with a need to know the information, in order to work on the development and provision of the Services, which may include programmers. We may add (or remove) additional individuals with access rights, according to our business needs, and will update this Privacy Policy if that is the case. Except for the limited examples herein, only the individual user can view his or her own hope map.
We may transfer your information to:
Companies related to us, or suppliers and/or subcontractors, such as suppliers who collect, process and/or store information for us (e.g., suppliers of cloud storage services) strictly as necessary for provision of the Solution and Services to you. We will require our affiliated companies, suppliers and/or subcontractors to act according to our privacy protection procedures.
Referral to other websites.
If you were referred to our services from another website (for example, via a link), we may share certain information about you with the referring website. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of each website that referred you to our services. In addition, when you enter our partners' websites using a link provided by us, we provide that partner with a unique identifier so that they know you were referred to them from us. This unique identifier will not contain any of your Personal Information.
Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of text that is sent to a visitor's browser. The browser provides this piece of text to the device of the originating visitor when this visitor returns. We use cookies to enable main functions to work properly, including safely storing your access token. A "persistent" cookie may be used to help save your settings and customizations across visits. Essential Activity - These cookies are essential for the proper operation of the Services. They help you access the Services, navigate within the Services, and use various features, such as remembering actions taken in the past (e.g., entered text) to go back to previous pages. These cookies cannot be disabled if the Services are to be provided.
Information regarding children
The company does not collect identifying information from children under the age of 18. In the event that you believe that a child under the age of 18 has registered without the consent of their parents or guardian, please notify us immediately.
Other Uses or Transfer of Your Information
We will fully cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing us to disclose the identity or behavior of any User suspected to have engaged in illegal behavior.
We may transfer our databases containing your Personal Information if we sell our business or part of it, including in cases of liquidation. Information about our Users, including Personal Information, may be disclosed as part of, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets or acquisition and shall continue being subject to the provisions of this Privacy Policy. By providing such information, you expressly consent to such transfer and use, including transfers outside of your country of residence.
Correcting or Updating your Information
We allow you to view the information you provided during registration and to alter any data, inaccuracies, or errors, as well as to have any information collected about you be deleted. We will retain and use your information for as long as your account is active, as necessary to provide you with our Services, or as necessary to comply with our legal obligations concerning data retention, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. We will retain your information and use it as described above. Please be advised that once you request that we delete your information, or once we delete information belonging to inactive Users according to our internal retention policies, we cannot recover such deleted information.
Communications
We may send you messages via email as well as SMS messages about us or about our products and services. By accepting our Terms of Use (including the terms of this Privacy Policy) or using the Services, you agree to receive such commercial communications.
You can remove your personal details from our mailing list and stop receiving messages from us in the future by unsubscribing in your account settings.
For your information, we reserve the right to send you messages related to the Services, including service messages and administrative messages, relating to your account, from which you can opt out by adjusting your preferences in the main menu. Opting out of such messages will not restrict your continued use of the Services.
Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time, and we encourage you to review it periodically. If changes are made to the privacy policy that concern the reduction of your rights or a different use of your Personal Information, a notice will be published on the Solution.
