Yahla Mobile ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Lifenow mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.
Information you provide:
Body measurements (age, weight, height, gender) entered during onboarding and in the calorie calculator — stored locally on your device only
Religious and ethnic background preferences selected during onboarding — stored locally on your device only, used to personalize spiritual content
Meal plan preferences and nutrition goals — stored locally on your device only
Workout completion data, calorie burn records, and workout history — stored locally on your device only
Meditation and mental wellness session history — stored locally on your device only
Weight tracking entries and body measurement logs — stored locally on your device only
Calendar events, reminders, and auto-logged activity records — stored locally on your device only
Personal diary entries including titles, content, mood, and dates — stored locally on your device only. The app provides guided writing prompts that rotate daily; these prompts are built into the app and do not require any internet connection.
Medication names, dosages, schedules, and dose-taken records — stored locally on your device only
Social media daily time limits and per-app limits you set — stored locally on your device only
Horoscope zodiac sign selection — stored locally on your device only
Sleep tracking data including bedtime, wake time, sleep duration, and quality ratings — stored locally on your device only
Step counter data including daily step counts, distance walked, calories burned from walking, and daily step goals — collected from your device's built-in step counter sensor and stored locally on your device only. No step data is transmitted to any server.
City/location name you provide for weather display — stored locally on your device only. When weather is enabled, your city name is sent to the Open-Meteo geocoding API to retrieve coordinates, and then to the Open-Meteo weather API to fetch current temperature, conditions, and a 7-day forecast. No personal identifiers are included in these requests.
Hydration tracking preferences (glasses or bottles mode) and daily water intake count — stored locally on your device only
Menstrual cycle tracking data including period start/end dates, flow intensity (light/medium/heavy), cycle length, period length, symptoms (cramps, bloating, headache, fatigue, mood swings, acne, breast tenderness), and fertility window calculations — stored locally on your device only. This data is used to predict your next period, calculate your fertile window, estimate ovulation dates, and provide phase-based wellness recommendations. Important: Fertility predictions are estimates based on average cycle patterns and should NOT be used as a contraceptive method or for medical diagnosis. Ovulation and fertility predictions may not be accurate for all users, especially those with irregular cycles.
AI Coach chat messages — your conversation history is stored locally on your device. When you send a message, the text of your message and recent conversation context is sent to Google's Gemini API for processing. No personal identifiers are included in these requests.
Food search queries — when you search for foods using the food database search, your search query is sent to the USDA FoodData Central API to retrieve nutrition information. No personal identifiers are included in these requests. Food items you log, save to favorites, or view recently are stored locally on your device only.
Yoga pose browsing — when you browse yoga poses, pose data is fetched from a free, open-source Yoga API. If the API is unavailable, the app uses bundled offline data (20 essential poses). No personal identifiers or usage data are transmitted. All yoga browsing history is stored locally on your device only.
Information collected automatically:
Advertising ID — used by Google AdMob to serve relevant ads
Device information (device model, OS version) — used for app compatibility and crash reporting
Step counter sensor data — if you grant Activity Recognition permission, Lifenow reads your device's hardware step counter sensor to count your daily steps. This data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to any server.
App usage statistics — if you grant Usage Access permission, Lifenow reads aggregated daily usage times for social media apps (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat, Reddit, WhatsApp, Telegram, and others) via Android's UsageStatsManager. This data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to any server. It is used solely to display your screen time statistics and enforce the daily limits you set.
To provide personalized meal plans, recipe recommendations, nutrition tracking, and food database search for accurate calorie logging
To track your workout progress, calorie burn statistics, and workout history
To track your weight and body measurements over time with charts and trends
To manage your personal calendar events and automatically log your activities (workouts, meals, weight entries, diary entries, meditation sessions, and medication doses)
To store and display your personal diary entries with mood tracking
To track meditation and mental wellness progress including streaks
To manage your medication schedule, track doses taken, and send medication reminders
To monitor your social media screen time and alert you when approaching or exceeding the daily limits you set
To provide personalized spiritual content (prayer times, daily quotes, horoscopes, and religious text access) based on your preferences
To track your sleep patterns including bedtime, wake time, duration, and quality
To count your daily steps and estimate distance walked, calories burned, and active minutes
To display current weather conditions, temperature, and a 7-day forecast based on your city
To track your daily water intake in glasses (250ml) or bottles (500ml)
To track your menstrual cycle, predict your next period, calculate your fertile window, estimate ovulation dates, and provide phase-based wellness recommendations (for female users only)
To display interstitial advertisements (full-screen ads) through Google AdMob at natural transition points in the app
To send you scheduled notifications (workout reminders, meal reminders, streak reminders, meditation reminders, weight logging reminders, diary reminders, wellness tips, calendar event reminders, medication reminders, and screen time limit alerts)
To provide an interactive tutorial to help you learn how to use the app
To improve app performance and fix bugs
All personal data — including body measurements, meal plans, preferences, workout history, calorie burn records, weight logs, calendar events, auto-logged activities, diary entries, meditation progress, medication records, social media limits, horoscope preferences, prayer time settings, sleep tracking data, step counter data, hydration preferences, menstrual cycle data, fertility tracking, city/location name, coaching style preferences, and tutorial progress — is stored locally on your device only. We do not transmit, upload, or store your personal data on any external servers. If you uninstall the app or reset app data via Settings, all locally stored information will be permanently deleted.
Lifenow may send you local notifications for:
Calendar event reminders you have scheduled
Daily workout reminders
Meal time reminders (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Workout streak reminders
Meditation reminders
Weight logging reminders
Diary/journal reminders
Daily wellness tips (hydration, sleep, posture, nutrition, mindfulness, movement, rest)
Medication dose reminders at your scheduled times
Social media screen time warnings at 75%, 90%, and 100% of your daily limit
Per-app screen time limit alerts
Prayer time reminders (if enabled)
All notifications are generated locally on your device. No data is sent to external servers to deliver these notifications. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings or within the app's settings.
Our app uses the following third-party services:
Google AdMob — for displaying interstitial advertisements (full-screen ads shown between activities). AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Open-Meteo API — provides weather data and geocoding. When weather is enabled, your city name is sent to Open-Meteo's geocoding service to find coordinates, and then weather data is fetched for those coordinates. Open-Meteo is a free, open-source weather API. No personal identifiers or device information are included in these requests. See Open-Meteo Terms.
Google Gemini API — powers the AI Wellness Coach chat feature. When you send a chat message, the text of your message and recent conversation context is transmitted to Google's servers for AI processing. Google may process this data according to their Gemini API Terms of Service. No personal identifiers, device IDs, or account information are included in these requests. Chat history is stored locally on your device only.
USDA FoodData Central API — provides nutrition information for the food database search feature. When you search for foods, your search query is sent to the USDA API to retrieve matching food items and their nutrition data. This is a free, public API provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. No personal identifiers are included in these requests. Food items you log or save are stored locally on your device only.
Yoga API — provides yoga pose data including instructions, benefits, and images. When you browse yoga poses, the app fetches pose information from a free, open-source yoga database. If the API is unavailable, the app automatically uses bundled offline data. No personal identifiers, device information, or usage data are transmitted to the Yoga API.
Lifenow does not use any third-party analytics or tracking services beyond AdMob, the AI chat API, the Open-Meteo weather API, the USDA food database API, and the Yoga API.
Lifenow requests the following device permissions:
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — to deliver workout, meal, streak, meditation, weight, diary, wellness tip, calendar, medication, prayer time, and screen time reminders
Exact Alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM) — to schedule medication reminders, calendar event reminders, prayer time alerts, and screen time checks at precise times
Activity Recognition (ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION) — to access your device's step counter sensor for the step tracker feature. Without this permission, the step counter will not function, but all other app features work normally.
Usage Access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS) — optional, to read aggregated app usage data for the social media screen time tracker. This permission must be granted manually in your device's Settings. Without it, the screen time feature will not function, but all other app features work normally.
Internet — to load advertisements, workout video content, communicate with the AI Coach service, fetch weather data, search the food database, and browse yoga poses
Wake Lock — to keep the screen on during workouts and meditation sessions
Foreground Service (Media Playback) — to continue playing meditation audio and nature sounds when the app is in the background
Foreground Service (Health) — to continue counting steps in the background when the step counter service is active
Lifenow automatically logs certain activities to your in-app calendar to help you track your wellness journey:
Workout completions (name, calories burned, duration)
Diary entries saved (title, mood)
Weight entries logged (weight, unit)
Meals logged (meal name, calories)
Meditation sessions completed (session name, duration)
Medication doses taken (medication name, dosage, time)
Sleep entries logged (bedtime, wake time, duration, quality)
Step goal achievements (daily step count when goal is reached)
This logging happens entirely on your device. No activity data is sent externally. Religious text reading (Bible, Quran) is explicitly excluded from automatic logging.
Our app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
You can delete all app data at any time via Settings > Reset App
You can opt out of personalized ads in your device's ad settings
You can disable all notifications in your device settings or in the app
You can revoke Usage Access permission at any time in your device's Settings
You can uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data
You can replay the app tutorial at any time from Settings
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the app with an updated date.
