The Age-Friendly Leadership Circle includes leaders from across Maine who are actively implementing age-friendly initiatives in their own communities.
Meeting monthly, this hands-on working group advises the University of Maine Center on Aging on all aspects of Lifelong Maine's Age-Friendly community work—from developing new programs to planning our annual conference. Members share insights from the field, problem-solve challenges, and help shape responsive, practical approaches to making Maine communities more livable for people of all ages.
The External Advisory Council bring diverse expertise and fresh perspectives to the University of Maine Center on Aging's community programs, including Age-Friendly Communities, Volunteer Driver Programs, Community Connectors, RSVP, and the Senior Companion Program.
Meeting bi-monthly, Council members provide objective, big-picture guidance, leverage their networks to connect us with aging service providers across Maine, and help ensure our work remains strategic, relevant, and aligned with the broader landscape of aging services in the state.
