Dr. Liu received his Ph.D in mechanics of solids and M.S. in applied mathematics from Brown University, following his undergraduate study in University of Science and Technology of China. His PhD research focuses on theoretical and computational mechanics of biological structures across multiple scales. Prior to joining UCLA, Dr. Yue has also worked in University of Michigan and MIT on stem cell engineering and medical device development.
