Everywhere the planet is deprived of its green cover in the name of development. But no initiative is taken to plant trees to cover the planet with greenery.
Let’s understand the initiative GC is taking to make the planet green again
Deforestation has a long-term impact on the planet. It is exposing the earth to the harmful UV rays of the sun. The environment is becoming warm day by day because of global warming and there is no solution to the problem. It is only plants that can save the planet from the harmful effects of greenhouse gases.
Greenfield Community Centre has taken the initiative to educate and encourage people to plant trees. Also, the organization provides plant saplings for plantation work. The action plan involves education on the harmful effects of greenhouse gasses. It is only when people are aware of global warming that they will be encouraged to plant trees.
How are people educated on deforestation?
Education on deforestation is the only way forward. People cut trees for wood but little do they know that plants give life. They soak carbon dioxide and keep the environment cool. Also, they give fruits, vegetables, and medicines. People cut all types of trees including medicinal and herbal. There was a time when the entire planet was covered with trees but today the green cover is thinning everywhere.
The Greenfield Centre has taken the responsibility of educating people on how deforestation is depriving the planet of its green cover and how thinning green cover is harming the environment. The environment is getting warmer and the warming of the planet is changing weather.
Summers have become hotter and winters have become harsher. Also, rain is causing havoc but it isn’t uniform. Some areas of the planet wait for rain while others get the downpour. But it can be changed with the help of trees. It is only with the plantation that the world can become greener again. There will be trees everywhere and with trees, there will be plenty of flora and fauna.
