Privacy Policy — Life Reminder
Last updated: June 25, 2026
The short version: Life Reminder keeps everything you enter on your own device. The app has no internet access, so it cannot send your information anywhere. We do not collect, view, share, or sell your data. There are no ads, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. The only copy of your data that may leave your device is through your phone's own backup system, which goes to your personal Google account and stays under your control.
This policy explains what Life Reminder ("the app") does and does not do with your information. It is written in plain language on purpose. If anything is unclear, you are welcome to contact us using the details at the bottom.
What information the app handles
Life Reminder only works with the information you choose to type in yourself, such as:
Reminder titles and notes
The schedules, times, and dates you set for your reminders
Tags and any sub-items or lists you create
Your in-app settings and preferences (such as display and sorting options)
The app does not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or any account or device identifiers. It does not gather any information about you automatically, and it does not observe or record how you use the app.
Where your information is stored
Everything you enter is stored locally on your own device, inside the app's private storage area. There is no online account, and there is no copy of your data on any server belonging to us — because no such server exists. Your information is protected by your device's built-in security, including the app sandboxing and device encryption that your phone provides.
The app does not use the internet
Life Reminder does not request internet permission and has no ability to connect to the internet. It cannot transmit your data to us or to anyone else. It contains no advertising, no analytics or measurement tools, no crash-reporting services, and no third-party software development kits that could collect or send information.
Backups and exporting your data
There are two ways a copy of your data can exist outside the app itself, and both are under your control:
Your phone's automatic backup. If you have device backup turned on in your phone's settings, the Android operating system may include Life Reminder's data in your regular backup to your personal Google account. This is performed by your phone and by Google — not by the app — and it lets your reminders be restored if you set up a new phone or reinstall the app. It is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, and you can turn it on or off, or delete it, in your device's backup settings and your Google account.
Manual export. The app lets you export your reminders to a file. When you do this, you choose where the file is saved using your phone's file picker. Once saved, that file belongs to you, in the location you selected, and the app has no further involvement with it.
Keeping and deleting your information
Your data stays on your device for as long as you keep it. You are in full control of removing it:
Delete an individual reminder or tag from within the app.
Clear all of your data within the app.
Uninstall the app, which removes its local data from your device.
If you use your phone's backup, manage or delete that backup copy through your device's backup settings and your Google account.
Permissions the app uses
Life Reminder asks only for permissions it needs to deliver reminders on time. None of them are used to collect or transmit your data:
Notifications — to show your reminders.
Alarms & reminders (exact alarms) — to make reminders go off at the precise time you set.
Run at startup — to restore your scheduled reminders after your phone restarts, so none are lost.
Children's privacy
Life Reminder is a general-purpose reminder tool and is not directed at children. Because the app does not collect any personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects this policy — for example, if a future version adds a feature that uses the internet — this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will change. Meaningful changes will be reflected here before the new feature is released.
