Life in the UK Test Prep 2026 – Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

This policy describes how the Life in the UK Test Prep 2026 app ("the App") handles information. The App is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with UK Visas and Immigration or any UK government body.

1. Summary

- We do not require an account or collect your name, email, or immigration status in the App.

- Most study data stays on your device.

- The App shows ads and optional paid subscriptions; third-party providers may process limited device data as described below.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

To provide study features, the App stores data locally on your phone or tablet, including:

- Language, theme, and accessibility settings

- Practice progress, mastered questions, category scores, and test history

- Mock test results, exam simulator progress, and daily challenge answers

- Starred questions, notes, achievements, and study goals (e.g. exam date)

- Ad unlock status (e.g. temporary access after watching a rewarded ad)

- Optional local feature-usage counters and error logs for troubleshooting

- Advertising consent choices (via Google UMP)

This data remains on your device unless you export it or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App removes locally stored data.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob, including banner, interstitial, app-open, and rewarded video ads.

Rewarded ads: You may choose to watch a rewarded ad to unlock optional features (such as additional mock tests, statistics, study guide access, or exports). Watching ads is voluntary.

Google and its partners may collect information such as device identifiers, IP address, app interactions, and ad performance data to deliver and measure ads.

We use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain and manage your consent for advertising in regions where required (including UK GDPR). You can review or change ad consent in Settings > Privacy.

Google Ads technologies: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads

4. In-App Purchases

You may purchase an optional subscription to remove advertisements and unlock premium features without watching ads. Purchases are processed by Google Play (or the Apple App Store on iOS). We do not receive your payment card details. Google or Apple may collect purchase-related information according to their own policies.

5. Firebase

The App uses Google Firebase for core infrastructure (such as app configuration). Firebase may process limited technical data as described in Google's privacy documentation: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

6. Diagnostics and Local Analytics

The App may record non-personal error information locally on your device to help fix bugs. Optional feature-usage counts (for example, which screens you use) may be stored locally in preferences. We do not use these local records to identify you personally, and we do not sell this data.

7. Notifications, Text-to-Speech, and Sharing

- Reminders: If enabled, notifications are scheduled on your device. We do not store reminder content on our servers.

- Text-to-speech: Question reading uses your device's system TTS; audio is not sent to us.

- Export and share: If you export progress or share content, data is sent only to apps or services you choose (e.g. email or messaging apps).

8. Children

The App is intended for general audiences preparing for the Life in the UK test. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Your Rights (UK / EEA)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because most App data is stored only on your device, you can clear it by clearing app storage or uninstalling the App. For ad-related choices, use Settings > Privacy or your device advertising settings. To contact us about privacy, use the email below.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
