I am an economist with a particular interest in the interaction between environmental conditions and health. My current work focuses on the relationship between early-life conditions and late-life health. I take an interdisciplinary approach, in which I combine my economic background with biological insights to gain a deeper understanding of the underlying mechanisms.
I am currently pursuing a PhD at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Groningen (started September 2024).
Topic: developmental origins of health and disease: a basis for late-life interventions after adverse early-life conditions.
